5 foods that are making you fat
We are often led to believe that some foods are improving our health, but in reality they are making us fat. Find out what they are...
We are often misinformed about nutrition and are led to believe that some foods are improving our health, even though they are actually making us fat. Don’t let false advertising ruin your health. Here are 5 foods that are actually making people fat.
1. Breakfast cereals
*We think cereals are “healthy,” but these are the worst foods you can possibly eat at the start of the day. Breakfast cereals are full of refined carbohydrates and sugar. They spike blood sugar and insulin first thing in the morning, and then when blood sugar breaks a few hours later, they lead to another snack that’s filled with more refined carbs.
2. Whole wheat bread
*Sometimes it is recommended to choose whole wheat bread because it is healthier and they recommend consuming it instead of white bread. But, in reality, that whole wheat bread will still make us fat. And often, they’re not even made from real whole grains. These grains have been pulverized into very fine flour that is easily digestible and raises blood sugar as quickly as refined grains.
3. Granola
*If granola is made with real ingredients, it can certainly be healthy. However, it suffers from the same problem as most other “health foods.” The moment food manufacturers start producing them in bulk, they change them in a way that is no longer healthy. Granola is usually, as we know, full of healthy ingredients like nuts and oats. However, manufacturers add oil and sugar and take it away from being healthy. These companies encourage excessive consumption of a product that has already been modified and is therefore no longer good for our health because it is making us fat, and obesity is the cause of many other serious diseases.
4. Low fat yogurt
*Most yogurts sold in stores are low in fat, which is another health disaster. When manufacturers remove fat from foods, they taste terrible. For this reason, people like to add a lot of other things to compensate for the lack of fat. Sugar, high fructose corn syrup or some artificial sweeteners are added to yogurt and these also affect your health.
5. Commercial salad dressings
*Salad greens generally have a bland flavor, so some people like to consume them with various salad dressings, which usually contain soybean oil and high fructose syrup. Salad dressings can be very high in calories and are easy to consume in large quantities. Don’t be fooled by the commercials!
