Forget about stress with these 5 breathing exercises

Have you noticed if you breathe correctly? Do you know if your body is getting enough oxygen? We share breathing exercises with you.

Today we will talk about breathing exercises. We know what your weeks are like month after month and they turn out to be loaded with a lot of pressure due to the daily activities you carry out. Just wake up in the morning, get ready to go to work and your first challenge; the traffic to get to your job, then the work tasks that sometimes turn out to be exhausting. Your day finally ends, apparently everything is about to calm down, but surprise, back to the traffic to go home and relax… And who knows what awaits you at home, which will also cause you a little stress. How can you understand, this does not end and it seems that there is no other choice than to get used to this life with ups and downs that never end. But there is a way to relax, which costs nothing and we can use it at any time of the day; breathing. Have you noticed if you breathe correctly? Do you know if your body is getting enough oxygen? These questions could solve that stress problem that occurs every week. Here we will show you 5 breathing exercises which will help you relax, something very important that your body needs after the pressure caused by different daily activities. Abdominal breathing Place one of your hands on your heart and the other on your diaphragm (that triangular-shaped hole under our ribs). Breathe deeply through your nose, feel how your diaphragm dilates every time you take a breath, then release the air through your mouth slowly, make abdominal contractions so that all that air leaves your body. Repeat this breath 5 to 10 times slowly, so that you can feel the air r run through your abdominal area. Ujjayi Breathing Breath of “victory” or also commonly known as “ocean breathing” for relating the consumption of air to soft sounds of ocean waves. Start with deep breaths, then, as you exhale, contract the muscles in your throat, so that a sound is emitted. Repeat this continuously for 5 to 10 minutes. Be careful when contracting those muscles in your throat, if you feel discomfort, stop and try to correct your breathing, so you don’t tear the muscles that make up your throat. Stimulating breathing This breathing technique is known as “bellows breathing.” Have you seen those tools that blow air to fan the flames of a fireplace or a van? Well, this is how your lungs will work in this technique. Breathe in and out at a rapid pace through your nose, keeping your mouth closed. You will immediately feel the pulsations in your diaphragm. You will do this breathing for 5 to 10 minutes, too. By doing this breathing you will relax your body and mind. 4-7-8 Breathing This is the breathing that will effectively relax you. Breathe in as much oxygen as you can for a count of 4, then hold your breath for 7 seconds, finally exhale for a count of 8. As you can notice, the exhalation lasts longer than the breath. This breathing may take a little practice, so try it from time to time, once you get the hang of it, you will get used to this breathing rhythm. Positive Breathing This exercise is very simple and easy, but it has the benefit that it will help your mind through affirmations to help it have clearer thoughts and help you focus on positive things. Choose 2 words that you want to focus on during this breath. By example “strength” and “success”. Just take a deep breath and think of the word strength. When you release that breath, you will think of the word success. As if it were a meditation mantra. Do this exercise for 5 to 10 minutes. Breathing is something important in our lives, since oxygen is vital for our brain to work and for the entire body to function. Focusing on how we breathe is a factor that helps relax our body. There are times when with so much information around us, such as loud noises and visual elements, we forget to breathe correctly, this leads us to episodes of stress and a lot of pressure. Try some of these exercises and you will see how things around you improve.
