How to exercise with children?
You should start exercising with your children, it is a great activity that you can do as a family, we leave you some recommendations
Exercising with children can be quite a challenge. Among all the demands there may be, it is much more difficult to find that extra time to go to the gym. I mean, if it was already an odyssey before, now it seems somewhat idealistic. The truth is that the first thing we have to do is recognize that life has changed. It is a little less likely that we will be able to take those getaways from before, now we have to think as a family, together 🙂 So the best way to not stop exercising is to involve your children! We leave you some recommendations on what to do with them. Everyone is sure to have fun.
- Walk. Ok, this is the most basic of all, but if your children are young or newborn, take advantage of the fact that they love it when you take them for a walk in their stroller or cart. They are happy to know the world. A good walk is super good for you.
- Play with them. If you go to the park, it’s usually to de-stress and keep your kids entertained for a while. Ok, not always, but it is a time you have to relax. What if you take them instead, but to play with them? Think about it. What does it matter what other people think? Play with your children, you will exercise like you can’t imagine and also, remember that they are not always going to be children and want to play with you.
- ** Swim. ** And we are not referring to swimming as such (which would not be bad) but to simply swimming with your children. Being in the water actively, that is, playing, helps you exercise a lot. Being in the water puts your body to work a lot, plus it is also something that many children enjoy.
- Get on the bike! Once your children learn to ride a bike, jump with them!** I don’t think I need to remind you how good it is to ride a bike. I’m sure you already know this, but what I can tell you is that you can’t imagine how good it is to share it with them :)
- Yoga. Doing it and having them see you usually turns into them wanting to imitate you. At least that’s what happened to me and another friend. Yoga is something that you can most likely do from home if you find a comfortable space. If your children are a little older, invite them to follow you in the postures. With these exercises you can get active with your children. There are no more excuses 🙂
