Herbal, Berry and Lemon Iced Tea

If you constantly find yourself visiting the machine at work or the corner store for an iced tea, maybe I can convince you to do it yourself. The combination that I want to show you has an excellent flavor and has many antioxidants and key vitamins that help regulate cholesterol, heart disease and lack of concentration.

Ingredients:

  • 1 bag of (whatever flavor you want)
  • ¼ cup frozen mixed berries
  • 4 leaves of basil or mint
  • ½ lemon

Directions:

In a cup, add your tea bag. Then, add enough boiling water. Let it rest. Add the lemon zest and juice to the tea and mix well. In a tall glass or pitcher, add the berries and herbs. Now, pour in the tea and lemon concentrate. Finally, add ice water.

Lemon, ginger and turmeric water

I recommend drinking this in the morning to help with inflammation and promote overall health. Lemon is loaded with vitamins, enzymes and antioxidants that your body needs, and combined with ginger, it becomes a great digestive.

Ingredients:

  • 1 lemon
  • ¼ teaspoon turmeric
  • 1 ginger finger

Directions:

  • Peel and finely cut the ginger and put it in a glass or jar.
  • Add turmeric, lemon juice and fill it halfway with water.
  • Mix and let it sit in the refrigerator for at least 2 hours for the turmeric to dissolve.
  • When ready, cover the glass with water.
