What you have to get out of your kitchen, but NOW!

These utensils are damaging your food.

Everything that touches our food ends up in it. Better throw all this away:

1. Plastic containers

BPA is an ingredient used to make plastic. It is a type of xenoestrogen, which is a chemical that mimics excess estrogen in the body. The Center for Disease Control found BPA in nearly half of the US population. Small amounts of BPA enter our bodies from the plastic containers we use to store food. Switch to glass, which is non-reactive, meaning it doesn’t leak chemicals when heated, like glass.

** 2. Plastic kitchen utensils and cutlery **

Every time you put a spoonful in the soup and feel that it is watery, it means that there is plastic in your food. If you have a spatula with melted edges, you’ve already eaten plastic. Throw away all plastic cutlery and replace it with sturdy, non-reactive materials.

** 3. Plastic bags **

I think you already saw where this is going, right?** Well, just like in the previous cases, when you put something hot in plastic bags like the famous Ziplock ones, some of it ends up in your food. Better use other options such as parchment paper or beeswax, which is completely natural.

** 4. Pots and pans with Teflon **

Teflon has replaced the manufacture of PFCs, a chemical that can be carcinogenic. However, newer varieties of nonstick may not be better. Non-stick chemicals break down at high temperatures and end up, again, in our food. Options made of Iron are a much better option.

** 5. Non-stick pots and pans **

All the new non-stick shapes, as we said in the previous point, will be part of your recipe. Better change them for stainless steel or ceramic options. Everything that revolves around how we prepare and store our food affects it. And today we have everything to be able to find good options and take care of our health 🙂
