5 tips to be successful in your office
Follow these five free tips to the letter and I am sure that your patients will begin to refer you to more of their acquaintances.
Attracting new patients is difficult for Nutritionists, because many times it only depends on the patients they refer to us. Many of us health professionals also expect patients to rain us all year round, and that can be a little disappointing if it doesn’t happen the way we want.
**So what do we have to do?1.- Offer all your patients a respectful and cordial service. **
Always start with “How are you feeling today?” That makes the Nutritionist-Patient relationship more cordial. * 2.-Give them the opportunity to comment on their diet We know that patients sometimes don’t know what is best for them, but let them have a say in what they are going to consume. Remember that if you don’t do it, it is likely that they will consume it anyway and do it secretly from you. 3.-Be kind to your family If your patient always comes to the consultation with his little 3-year-old son, be patient and be prepared with a coloring book. You can also add a toy that the little one can entertain themselves with during the consultation.
- Do not make your patient feel uncomfortable and take into account that they make an effort to come to their consultation. **4.-Take a couple of minutes between each consultation **
As we expect you to have a full agenda in your office, schedule each consultation spaced with sufficient time between each one. This is because you also deserve a few minutes to breathe deeply and prepare the material that you are going to use in your consultation.
- The last of your patients will not be very happy if the equipment or office has a bad smell or a messy appearance. 5.-Smile! Receive all your patients with a smile, we know that at the end of the day after 8 consultations it is difficult to maintain good spirits. But work on it, it is very important that all your patients see you in your best light to avoid making them uncomfortable.**
