Myths about cow's milk

Cow's milk is no longer considered a healthy food due to the large amount of hormones and fats it contains, choose dairy-free alternatives.

In recent decades, milk and dairy products (especially cow’s milk and its derivatives) have been foods of which great benefits have been highlighted. Advertising has made many people believe that they are the only foods that provide calcium to our body. To the point that it is thought that without them, our bones would suffer great decalcification (osteoporosis). Or that it is essential for children in the growth phase. However, it seems that other beliefs indicate that milk and dairy products are not part of the healthy foods in our diet. It is said that they should be relegated to sporadic and occasional consumption. Even for a part of the population, they should be completely excluded from the diet. For example, people who show sensitivity, intolerance or allergy to any of its components, people convalescent or in the recovery phase of any pathological process, people who develop pathologies typically related to excessive consumption of dairy products such as otitis, sinusitis, diarrhea, digestive heaviness. Milk and its derivatives are nothing more than other of the many foods that human beings need to eat to nourish themselves. Nutritional content Milk is a very complete food. It contains proteins of high biological value, saturated fats, cholesterol, vitamin B, calcium, carbohydrates (lactose), minerals and water. People with lactose intolerance (about 10% of children and 40% of adults) can be recommended to consume yogurt, cheese, curd or cottage cheese since lactose is eliminated in the manufacturing process. The argument that we should not drink milk after weaning since we are the only animal in the nature that does it has no weight. We are also the only animals in nature that eat cooked foods. It is more interesting to focus on the issue of the changes that the composition of milk has undergone since intensive forms of agri-food production have been established. The cows no longer graze but are fattened with feed and grains. Mainly corn and soybeans. Milk from grazed cows has 68% more fatty acids and omega 3 than those fed with feed. Also many of the yogurts that are sold as functional foods. They help improve the digestive and immune system (they are called yogurts with probiotics) they have high concentrations of other ingredients that are not good for your health. They do not even reach the intestine in high concentrations. In addition, they have very high concentrations of sugar, fat and salt and should not be recommended as healthy products. So think very carefully about the type of milk you choose and the dairy products you consume.
