Natural antioxidants
To help our body we can increase nutrients and antioxidant components such as the following in our diet.
Do you know natural antioxidants? The signs of aging in adults are 80% due to lifestyle and not so much to the passage of time. Factors such as stress, diet, sedentary lifestyle, tobacco, pollution, and excess sun cause our body to oxidize and its visible effect is manifested in the skin. To prevent and/or delay this aging, we must combat excess free radicals that are caused by the aforementioned causes, and neutralize them with antioxidants. The human body generates antioxidant enzymes and catalysts with the function of neutralizing free radicals. But the problem of aging appears when their number is not sufficient to combat excess free radicals. This positive balance in favor of free radicals manages to attack the cells of our body, oxidizes the fat in the cell membrane and ends up modifying their genetic code, causing them to die. This response to excess free radicals is called oxidative stress. And it is precisely the skin where this effect is most noticeable. To help our body achieve a neutral or even positive balance but in favor of antioxidant substances, we can increase nutrients and antioxidant components in our diet. Foods with natural antioxidants In our diet there are a high number of these foods/nutrients/substances. For example: Tomato Citrus fruits Carrot Onions Spinach Berries (raspberries, blackberries, strawberries…) Cabbages Avocado Virgin olive oil You can start including natural antioxidants in your diet with meal ideas like these: Breakfast: oatmeal with almond milk and fruits from the forest as topping. Lunch: whole wheat toast with avocado and tomato on top. Snack: baby carrots with hummus. Dinner: spinach salad with tomato, carrot, tofu and lemon dressing with olive oil.
