This week I have a new goal: to cook new things with different ingredients. And I want to invite you to do the same so that we can make innovative dishes with healthy foods. But to expand our ingredient options, I will leave you the properties of various foods and what they are used for, in order to use the most varied and appropriate ones. Let’s start with 5 healthy foods that I really like. Apple It is one of the most powerful fruits. Among all the properties it has, it is rich in calcium, fiber, potassium, vitamin C and B complex vitamins. This delicious fruit will help you prevent dementia and reduce the risks of suffering from a heart attack and diabetes. Arugula If it is said that all green leaves are good, it is true. Arugula has high levels of nitrate, which reduces blood pressure and the amount of oxygen needed to exercise. It helps you reduce the risk of cancer, prevent osteoporosis and improve muscle oxygenation. Asparagus It has high contents of calcium, fiber, magnesium, vitamin B6 and zinc. It can help reduce the risk of diabetes, prevent kidney stones, and reduce the risk of neural tube defects in babies. Bananas are naturally free of fat, cholesterol and sodium, but contain high levels of potassium. They are great allies in reducing blood pressure, reducing the risk of developing childhood leukemia and improving heart health. Broccoli Provides high content of soluble and insoluble fiber, and is a great source of phosphorus, iron, vitamins and zinc. It can help prevent osteoarthritis, protect your skin from UV rays, counteract heart damage due to diabetes, and reduce the risk of bladder cancer. Include some of them in your recipes and let your creativity fly! You can also try my 10 tips for making super with healthy food. In some subsequent blogs, I will give you more information about other healthy foods so that you can also add them in other recipes. Let’s cook!
