Vacation without diet and without gaining weight
I discovered the easiest ways to take care of myself on vacation without dieting (and I even lost weight). I share my tips for you to apply.
Vacations without diet and without gaining weight Copy Cwp April 8, 2018 No Comments Last year, I was very worried because I knew I would go on vacation with my family and I generally tend to gain weight during these times. Since I wanted to relax and enjoy my family that would include not stressing out about counting calories, I discovered the easiest ways to take care of myself and have a diet-free vacation (and I even lost weight). Today I share with you the ways to enjoy your vacation without suffering from a diet
- I limited my consumption of drinks with umbrellas There I was, finally, on a lounge chair, sunbathing, more than ready for a beach cocktail. I definitely had to have it, but I didn’t order the sweetest drink on the menu. Drinks with those cute umbrellas tend to be much higher in sugar than other drinks (that’s why they taste better, duh) and much higher in calories. And since the last thing I was going to do on vacation was count calories, I substituted wine or beer for fruitier drinks half the time. *If you feel too restricted, simply avoid pina coladas.
- Eat when you’re really hungry and what you really crave. You already know what it’s like to “eat when you’re bored.” It turns out that we unthinkingly consume food when we go out to have fun. When you’re on vacation, there are dozens of dining opportunities. Especially if you are on a cruise or have an all-inclusive package at a resort. Food seems to be everywhere, from the endless buffets, to the pool bar serving nachos, to 24-hour room service, to the free snacks that just magically appear on every surface. But before you dig in, take a second to think about whether you’re actually hungry and whether you’d be eating those nachos if they weren’t there. And try not to frame it in terms of weight and calories. but rather the enjoyment. The best reason not to mindlessly snack is to avoid feeling bloated and uncomfortable throughout the day. So you’ll have room for the food you’re most excited to eat.
- I walked, walked and walked I honestly didn’t realize I was doing it. In the mornings I really enjoyed going out and taking a quick walk on the beach and every night, I would go out with my husband for a walk along the seashore (super romantic). I really enjoyed giving myself and my partner some time. In addition to playing like crazy with the children, I was encouraged to do things that I thought I would never do. And yes, despite all this: I relaxed. Enjoy your vacation, you surely deserve it
