What makes your New Year's resolution fail?
To lose weight as a New Year's resolution we need to be more aware of what we are asking of ourselves :)
Every year it’s the same, right? If anything very similar. In the hustle and bustle of the holiday and the excitement of starting something new, we often promise ourselves impossible things as a New Year’s resolution. At that moment they look completely realistic and there is a fire burning inside us with which of course we could accomplish all this and more. The problem is that this determination is most likely caused by the emotion of the moment. Between family, food, drink, reflection on what ends and the desire for what could be. And that intense fire does not last all year. It may not even last until the next day. Promising things at the end of the year is not bad, but we have to delve a little deeper into what we do and
1. Go to the gym
Promising yourself this, if you don’t even have the habit of exercising, are empty words. It’s actually very simple, it’s much easier for you NOT to be able to start a new habit that is also very intense, than for you to achieve it. Better promise yourself to start exercising and here I mean just running for 30 minutes.
2. The famous diet
Promising yourself that you are going to diet at the beginning of the year is a good way to fail. You have to understand what you want and that is most likely to lose weight. To achieve this, you don’t actually need to slave away, rather you need to eat well. Better promise to stop eating processed foods, excess sugar, etc. You don’t have to eat salad every day or stop eating things you love, just NOT eat excessively harmful things.
3. Desserts
Now, if your favorite dish is a dessert, be realistic. Promise to never eat it again, it won’t happen. Rather, promise to eat it once a month or every 2 months or some similar scheme that is not extremist. At the end of the day, it is your favorite dish and you have the right to eat it, just don’t abuse it. In short, we get carried away when it comes to promising ourselves things and especially when they are things to lose weight. Actually the only thing we need is to be more aware of what we are asking of ourselves 🙂
